Physically, Eric Ducharme looks like a normal guy in general. As a professional diver, he has the athletic body and ideal. But there is one oddity in itself, this 22-year-old man became obsessed with mermaids.
Eric was deeply fond of fictional characters from the world's ocean. In order to realize his obsession to 'mermaid', he was willing to swim for more than 1.5 hours three times a week in the open waters.
When swimming, Eric would usually wear costumes mermaid draped across her body from waist to toe. Once the dive, Eric can hold my breath for up to four minutes.
"I eat, breathe and sleep like a mermaid. This is my lifestyle. Way of life that I choose," said the man from Florida, USA, as quoted by The Sun.
He added, "When wearing (costumes) this tail I feel has been transformed. I was entering a different world when it entered the water."
Eric also claimed to have spent quite a long time to understand the reason for living. And under the water, he felt he had come out of the world that had been beneath her feet.
This obsession with the support of a lover and his family. The lover who interviewed for the television show 'My Strange Obsession' stated, "When I first met Eric I was introduced to the mermaid on our first date. And I felt, 'Wow!'
He added, "When we swim together, sometimes there is a look of reproach that seemed to say, 'Why is there a man dressed as a mermaid, a woman should not it'."
Meanwhile Eric's mother, Candy declared his support by saying, "We all have the desire, and it is a life choice and Eric."
